See, I think the problem going with this stance is that now in this massive equation this dude's (ngl idek who he is ok prob someone ~impt!~ in america's state of affairs idk) bringing in inanimate, lifeless, emotionless, unfeeling objects and/or beings that do not have the same emotional or mental (???) capacity as humans do.
And that all these things are in need of human rights?

The thing is that what is being denied of some people (only because of sexual orientation okay) are things like housing assistance and property inheritance and custody rights to a child etc like no not fair where is the justice.
BUT SINCE DOMA AND PROP8 HAVE BEEN SHOT DOWN I SHOULD BE USING "WAS" WHOOPEE.
And I think this statement is tainting the whole marriage concept.
Marriage is commitment to another person for the rest of one's life, with the foundation of love! and mutual respect! and responsibility! amidst! other! essential! values! needed! in a strong! and! healthy! lifelong! relationship!
He just compared marriage equality among people to be the same as marriage to objects.
Obvs people who devote their lives to ice-cream and dogs (in a romantic way and all) will require some sort of help because there is nothing healthy about committing yourself to things/animals that can never reciprocate human feelings ya feel me.
